Spring is here?

I took these photos in the Shady Grove section of my yard early yesterday morning. It was around five inches of the wettest, heaviest snow that you can imagine.
I am so anxious to get started on the garden but no such luck yet. March snows don't usually last long but this morning it is still flurrying.

Yes, I have been gone for a very long time. I couldn't figure out how to deal with posting "bad" news. Things like losing two of my uncles, losing my mommy alpaca, the barn roof getting destroyed in a wind storm... Not every day on the farmette turns out the way I pictured it. So I decided to bite the bullet as they say and dump it all at once. Then on with the new season, new shows, new products and I am even sporting a new haircut!

  1. Beautiful snow pictures. EXCEPT IT SPRING! Funny, if it were December it would be beautiful and give you that fun holiday spirit, instead of "I can't deal with driving on slippery roads and shoveling any more!"Rain is the same way isn't it: its welcome nourishment of your garden and lawn vs. when it never stops and turns your back yard into a lake and your basement into a pool. The wind can be refeshing when it's a nice breeze on a summer's eve, but brutal when gusting while walking on 5th Ave (and it's raining!). You can bask under the sun, warming your bod, or curse it when it's extreme for too many days: "when are we going to get a break from this heat?!" The moon--ahh, the moon! It can do no wrong. We fall in love under it, find comfort in it when we are sad, confess to it, and even attempt to communicate with someone you love through it, hoping she is also gazing at the moon at the same time even though she is far away on the other side of the moon. So Linda, paint us a moon and post it. Please?
